Zuma Boom is an old-school ball-shooting game. You have to make groups of 3 or more same-colored balls fast enough to destroy them before the chain reaches the cave. Each level features a unique layout and incorporates "Bomb Booms" and time-freezing balls to create surprising gameplay moments.

How To Play Zuma Boom

Match the colors and aim

Control the ball at the center of the screen, aim at the moving chain, and click to launch. Search for spots with at least two balls of the same color so your new ball forms a group of three or more, clearing them from the board. On mobile, touch and hold to aim, then release to shoot.

Make way for the balls to reach the cave

Always clear the sections closest to the exit first, as the chain is always moving toward the cave. If a ball goes into the tunnel, you lose a life. You get a max of 10 lives, so make every shot count and don't let the chain get too long.

Use Bomb Booms and Special Balls

Randomly during play, “Bomb Booms” may appear in the chain. If you hit a bomb, it will explode and kill the balls around it, so you can quickly make a big hole. Additionally, special time-freezing balls will pause the chain's movement when matched correctly, allowing you extra time to make your next move.

15 different ways, 15 levels

Zuma Boom has 15 levels, and each level has a different path layout. It’s how close you are to completing the level. You fill the progress bar to the left by continuously clearing balls. Watch the path, choose your shots wisely, and capitalize on combo opportunities to beat each level.

Play with a mouse or on mobile?

If you are on a PC, move your mouse to aim and left-click to shoot. If you’re playing on a mobile device, just tap and hold to adjust your aim, then release to launch the ball. The controls are straightforward, so you can start playing right away without needing to learn a lot first.

Shots to attempt

• Create large groups: If you can gather four or five balls of the same color, prioritize that shot over clearing a standard group of three.
• Aim for the connections: Some shots can break the back part of the chain free. If the detached section forms a group of the same color, you have the chance to clear even more balls in a single turn.
• Discard balls as needed: You don’t have to use every ball immediately. If you can't locate a suitable spot, you can shoot the ball out of the play area to wait for a better opportunity.
• Don’t just focus on the front: Balls at the end of the chain could be more important than the group right in front of you. Observe the entire chain before making your move.
• Reserve the “Bomb Boom” for emergencies: When the finish line is still far away, there is no reason to set off the bomb immediately. It is more effective to wait until it can destroy a larger number of balls.
